Transflo Metering / Dosing Pumps are high precision positive displacement pumps, as per API 675 code. The discharge can be varied from zero to 100% capacity while pumps are running. Metering Pump capacity is almost independent of the discharge pressure.

Working Principle:

The  reciprocating  plunger  directly  displaces  the  process  liquids.  Axial  shifting  of  the  skew  slotted  sliding  shaft  radically  shifts   the  variable  eccentric.  The stroke length  of  the  crank  shaft  correspondingly  changes.  A  reproducible  setting  from  zero to maximum stroke  length  is  possible.  As  the  plunger  and  plunger seals are coming in contact with process liquid, the best performance  for  the  application  is  achieved  by  optimal selection of plunger material.
